How to Spend New Year’s Eve in Puerto Vallarta

Are you tired of having to tie up your snow boots and scrape off the car just to watch the ball drop at the same old local bar? You’re better than that. New Year’s Eve is better than that.

Celebrate the last party of the year in a place with brilliant sun, endless beaches, incredible seafood, and city-wide street parties. New Year’s Eve 2019 in Puerto Vallarta is going to be better than ever. Here’s why you have to be there.

Why New Year’s Eve 2019 In Puerto Vallarta Is Going to Be Epic

Is it the bumping’ yacht parties with all-inclusive drinks? Maybe it’s the dancing in the streets in the old town or on the Malecón? Or is it watching the fireworks over Banderas Bay from the sky deck of a world-class nightclub? There’s so much to do this New Year’s Eve in PV that you’re actually going to want to stay up past midnight (do you remember the last time that

happened?).

6 Days of Sun and Fun

That’s right. New Year’s Eve 2019 in Puerto Vallarta is NOT a one-night affair. The locals here are so serious about getting down for NYE that they usually stretch it out to four days of non-stop parties, food, live music, and activities like hiking, snorkeling and sipping piña coladas on the beach.

But this year is different.

Because New Year’s Eve falls on a Monday, that means that the party is going to start on Friday, Dec. 28th and finish on Jan. 2nd. That means six nights of sunsets, dancing, and street food. Six days of watersports, beaches, and spa treatments overlooking the Pacific. And the best part? Most people will be able to experience the entire six days without taking more than a day off work.

Rammstein on the Beach

Rammstein, German legends of rock, are at work on a new album, and they’re coming to PV for New Year’s Eve 2019 for what is likely to be one of the most incredible live shows of all time.

These gnarled rockers have let a decade pass since releasing a new album, and their upcoming opus is expected to drop in 2019. They’ve been recording with a full orchestra and choir, and there’s reason to expect they’ll bring the full setup with them when they play on NYE.

Why do we think this?

Well, Rammstein has only booked two concerts this year, and both are on Puerto Vallarta’s beaches during the Nye bash (Dec. 31 and Jan 2). That means the New Year’s Eve show will be the only show the band has played in 2018. The greatest German rock band of all time is going to bring explosive energy, and music history is going to be made.

Dining at its Finest

Puerto Vallarta is one of the food capitals of Mexico, featuring a brilliant mix of tropical flavors from the jungle as well as some of the best seafood you’ll ever taste. When New Year’s Eve comes around, the Latin dining tradition comes to the forefront. In this culture, the biggest and most opulent meal of the year happens on New Year’s Eve.

This means that world-famous chefs who prepare incredible culinary creations every day treat THIS as the most important time of year. All the stops come out. All the most prized ingredients come into play. And the result is a dining experience beyond your wildest dreams. Most dinners include five courses, champagne, and live music. And the best part? The price is all-inclusive

and very affordable.

To find the right restaurant at the right price and to book a table worthy of the evening, you need some local insight. The insiders at Puerto Vallarta clubs have connections at all the best restaurants.

They can book your table, deal with all the translations, and even drive you to the restaurant.

Local Tip: We recommend dining like a baller at least once during your stay in PV, but don’t wait to book a table. People come from far and wide just for this culinary adventure!

Street Parties for All Ages

One of the best parts of NYE in Puerto Vallarta is the vibrant streets full of locals, tourists, families and more. Everyone is here for one reason: to celebrate and be happy! Without even entering a club or a restaurant, you can feast on the sights and sounds of PV all night. Here’s where to do it this New Year’s Eve.

Start with a cocktail to go and cruise down the streets of the Old Town. Beautiful antique buildings are cut into by narrow roads and alleys crowded with laughing locals and dancing children. Take a load off and gaze out over Banderas Bay or grab a snack and enjoy the live mariachi music hanging in the air.

This Oceanside esplanade is where the biggest parties happen. If you’re not dining at a restaurant, this is where you want to be for the best in PV street food, all your NYE beads and beers, and tons of people ready to dance and shout. The Malecón gets crowded, but it’s an unforgettable experience.

Called “The Romantic Zone” for its beautiful streets, cafés, and restaurants in the heart of the Old Town, this is a great place to start if you’re in the fine dining mood. It’s also about a block away from the bay and will make for a perfect spot for viewing those midnight fireworks while holding someone close. Olas Atlas will be crowded, but it has a much more traditional Mexican street-party vibe than the Malecón or Los Arcos.

Just south of the Malecón you’ll find another wild party in the Los Arcos central square. You’re sure to find plenty of dancing and music here, and there’s nothing obstructing the view of the bay in the background. If you want to be on your eighth cocktail and dancing like a maniac when the ball drops, you want to be at Los Arcos.

Going to Puerto Vallarta and not hitting the clubs is like going to New York City and skipping lady liberty. It’s just one of those things that you have to do at least once in your life, and if there’s ever a time to do it, its New Year’s Eve 2019.

PV is home to some of the most epic clubs in the world. Strana is a literal cathedral of sound and energy. La Santa has an in-club pool that guarantees a wet and wild night. La Vaquita features a giant flying cow and some of the craziest pyrotechnic shows you’ll ever see. And this is just on any old night of the week.

New Year’s Eve 2019 is going to be bigger than ever. The clubs are getting stocked with fireworks, buying new lights and speakers, booking the biggest DJs, and carting in champagne by the pallet. It doesn’t matter whether you get here before or after midnight because the NYE parties at Puerto Vallarta clubs will be going till dawn.

Unless you want to wait outside all night in line, you WILL need a booking to get into one of Puerto Vallarta’s world-class clubs. Get in touch with the local nightlife gurus at PV Nightlife for info on events, bookings, and VIP tables. We can book you an exclusive VIP table, make sure you never have to wait for a drink, and even drive you to the club!

Don’t Miss New Year’s Eve 2019 in Puerto Vallarta

The holidays might seem far away, but when it comes to booking the perfect Oceanside villa, getting in at the best seafood bistro, or grabbing a few tickets to Rammstein’s first (and last!) Performance of 2018, time is running out!

Don’t be shy! Prices south of the border are more affordable than you think, and the local nightlife experts at PV Nightlife have ALL the connections. Get in touch now to start planning your bash for New Year’s Eve 2019 in Puerto Vallarta!

28 Things That Happen At Literally Every Hen Party

So you’ve been given the daunting title of “maid of honour” – in my eyes this title is more along the lines of “maid of organizing everything including being solely responsible for the success or failure of my best friends hens night!” but who cares about titles! It is your duty to ensure this night is one you’re guests and more importantly, your hen, will always remember (or forget completely).

Hen’s nights might seem like an awful lot of work – and they are – but there are many things you lovely ladies can do to make life easier. Topless Waiters, Male strippers Melbourne, Cocktail Parties, I have organized thousands of hens nights across Australia – starting as a topless waiter myself and working up to the manager/owner of my own hens night company I have seen all sides of the Hens Night process. Below is an accumulation of hens night information that I think will benefit you, from conception to delivery!

This isn’t going to be like other articles that put out basic things, like “save the date” as a key pointer on a hens night (duh?), I’ll be leaving out the common sense stuff and going straight for the nitty gritty of the best hens night Melbourne ideas!

Starting with Hens night Melbourne and now located all across Australia this guide will draw from my experience in the hens night industry, however I will make it very broad and include hens night ideas for people from all around the world. Happy Reading!

  • Preliminary Easy Stuff;
  • Figure out who’s doing the guest list – you or the hen
  • Get a feel for what the hen wants – if you know her well (I would hope you do?) you might not even need to ask her (surprises are better) – brainstorm some hens night ideas
  • Determine a location you want your hens to be (I’m talking geographical here not specific), would you like topless waiters Melbourne? Male Strippers Brisbane? A mobile bar in Sydney?

Those things should be easy to do, once you have a rough idea of what country you want to have your hens night in and generally what you will be doing – you can continue down the guide!

What Do You Want Out Of Your Hens? Hens Night Ideas!

This may well be the hardest section of the entire hens night planning process – what is it that you actually want to do? Now this isn’t a scary option because there isn’t enough to go off, it’s actually the simple Netflix problem – there is too much to choose from.

I would start by asking yourself the question of guests – because in the end you have to find that right balance between what the hen would like and what the guests would be into.

Ask yourself the following validating questions before brainstorming hens night ideas!

  •  How much age variety is there at this hens, will any oldies be attending who will be less inclined to participate in a raunchy hens? Or the opposite, nervous youngsters who wouldn’t know how to relate?
  • Will your attending guests be of a conservative nature – i.e. will they be for or against having topless men / topless waiters walking around handing them drinks? What about a male strip show?
  • Are your guests big drinkers? Would they be satisfied with only a couple of cocktails, or do you want to go all out with a unlimited cocktail bar? (I know I would!)
  • How much do your guests make in a year? Would they be happy to put in $80 each for an awesome hens night? What about $100, $150?
  • Are your guests the adventurous type? Would they want to do a fun activity – or keep it a bit classier, such as a cocktail package?
  • How many people will be attending? This one is crucial, is it 8-9 people? 20? 40?

These are some great screening questions to ask your hen also, you probably won’t know everyone who the hen has invited personally so it’s important to gather this information before making any decisions.

Everybody is different, your hens may be the perfect bunch of ladies who all get along famously and who are all big party girls who love going out! In which case congratulations, your hens night will pretty much run itself! But majority of the time there is a big split within hens nights in terms of age/nature/family (especially as the numbers creep higher).

My solution to this is never be afraid to have a hens DAY, this could be something as simple as a daytime wine tour through your local area (mine would be the yarra valley), enjoying some casual drinks with all the ladies involved (including the prudes/oldies/unwanted family members/mother in law) and then dispersing after the event and heading to your hens NIGHT – where you can get as wild and crazy as you see fit, without feeling like you left out the other guests. Trust me; the oldies are going to thank you that they can get an early night anyway. High Teas are also a quality option, as well as day spas/manicures/massages and day cruises! Contacting the people you are unsure about and brainstorming a few Bachelor Party ideas is also an option!

The 20 Best Things to Do in Puerto Vallarta

These top 20 things to do in Puerto Vallarta were recommended by real locals and will guarantee you see the very best of this incredible coastal city.

In Puerto Vallarta, you have the opportunity to experience vibrant local Mexican culture and a luxurious beach holiday all at once. From the shops and quaint cafes on the Malecon to hidden beaches and tranquil coves to epic night clubs overlooking Banderas Bay, there’s something for everyone in this Pacific paradise.

But, you can’t trust just anyone to tell you how to experience the best of Puerto Vallarta. As much as we love our city, we admit that tourist traps are popping up left and right.

That’s why the local experts at PV Nightlife decided to put together a top 20 list of things to do in Puerto Vallarta made 100% by locals!

We’re excited to share our beautiful city with you, but before we dive into our list, let’s take a look at the parts of the city you’ll want to explore.

Districts of Puerto Vallarta

  • North Zone: This area north of the city stays pretty quiet. Those looking for peace and relaxation can come here for lazy beaches, traditional villages, and good access to watersports like kite surfing.
  • Nueva Vallarta: This area is where the all-inclusive resorts are, so it’s not the best place to experience PV culture. Locals aren’t big fans of this area, but it’s a good spot for families looking for the ease of a package holiday.
  • Marina Vallarta: This is the first zone in Puerto Vallarta proper, yet it’s still relatively quiet and romantic. The Marina is a great place for shopping, grabbing drinks, and watching the sunset. It’s home to some high-end cafes and hotels, but locals often go here for happy hour.
  • Hotel Zone: The hotel zone is modern and convenient. You won’t find a lot of history here, but you’ll find all the malls, big supermarkets, cinemas, and of course, hotels. There’s also a nice harbor here, but the Hotel Zone is best for shopping and enjoying some air conditioning!
  • Downtown: This is where the magic happens! Downtown is the heart of Old Vallarta and home to our favorite place—the Malecon. It’s a long boardwalk along the beach that is full of shops and cafes. We love to sip coffees and cocktails in the fresh ocean air while people watching the day away.
  • Romantic Zone: Love is in the air in this small central district. It’s where you’ll find many of the most popular bars and restaurants, and it’s known for being trendy. There’s almost always something going on in the plazas, and Los Muertos beach is the hot spot for tourists looking for spring-break style fun in the sun.
  • South Zone: Leaving the city, the South Zone extends for over 25 miles south of Puerto Vallarta and is pocked with little beaches and villages. It’s easy to access by car, bike, or bus, and it’s also a popular spot for coastal hikes. Locals love to go to the beaches here to escape the crowds in the city!

Now that you know a bit more about Puerto Vallarta’s city districts, it’s time to jump into our list of things to do in Puerto Vallarta!

Top 20 Things to Do in Puerto Vallarta

We asked a lot of locals for their input on this list, so you can take the numerical order with a grain of salt (and then some lime and tequila, preferably!). This list is a mix of local favorites and what locals think tourists MUST do when they visit PV.

1. Playa las Gemelas Beach

Admit it—the first thing you want to do when you touch down in Puerto Vallarta is hit the beach! Playa las Gemelas is the one to visit first, according to locals.

Many tourists head straight to Los Muertos Beach, but it can be a bit rowdy and crowded. Playa las Gemelas is quieter and more relaxing, plus the water is an amazing mix of glowing turquoise and emerald. It’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the city.

Getting to the beach requires climbing some stairs, but it’s worth the trip. As you descend to the water, you’ll pass under a canopy of jungle greens and ropey vines that provide a perfect transition from “real life” to “stress-free, margarita-sipping holiday.”

2. Stroll on the Malecon

There’s no better way to get acquainted with Puerto Vallarta than to walk along the picturesque Malecon, a long boardwalk that spans most of the city’s coastline. Here, you’ll find a mix of tourist-friendly attractions like street performers, artists, and vendors of all kinds. It’s also home to plenty of historic restaurants and cafes where you can stop for a drink or a bite and enjoy some stellar ocean views.

Locals like to spend time at Bar La Playa, or if you’re looking for something a little wilder, try Senor Frog’s.

3. Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe

This is the most popular sightseeing attraction in the historic center, and the locals are very proud of it. Our Lady of Guadalupe is a beautiful architectural monument inside and out, and it’s a symbol of PV culture. Make sure to pay a visit regardless of your religious affiliation. Just make sure to be respectful!

4. Eat Street Food (Tacos, Tacos, Tacos)

It’s not hard to find an abundance of street food in Puerto Vallarta, but only the locals know the best of the best.

Here’s what you’ve got to try:

  • Tacos: Try our spicy shrimp tacos for a real local treat.
  • Tortas Ahogadas: A local sandwich filled with pork, tomato sauce, and chili. It’s a bit like a Mexican sloppy Joe!
  • Pescado Embarazado: This is basically a roast fish on a stick. But, the fish is marinated in lime and served with fresh salsa. It’s healthy and delicious!
  • Tamales: The perfect grab-and-go street food.
  • Grilled corn on the cob: It’s no delicacy, but we love this roasty, salty street food.

And here’s where to go to find the very best street food:

5. Take a Boat Tour

Most of the things to do in Puerto Vallarta take place on the waves, but you don’t have to be a swimmer or a surfer to enjoy our emerald seas. Hiring a boat is much more affordable here than it is in most other cities, meaning you can live the high life on a private yacht or take a relaxing fishing cruise with your buddies for less than the cost of a nice meal.

Or, if you’re looking for a party, try one of our bumping party cruises. Most party cruises have great DJs and plenty of singles looking to mingle. Even better, most include an open bar all day.

To find out how you can rent a boat or join a party cruise, get in touch with the local booking experts at PV Nightlife.

6. Plaza de las Armas

This is the main square in Puerto Vallarta, and there’s something fun happening here every day. It’s a great spot to buy local art, and it’s very close to the Malecon and Our Lady of Guadalupe church.

Make sure to take a photo with the statue of our city’s founder, Ignacio Vallarta, and take some shade under the beautiful bandstand gazebo in the center.

7. Experience Mismaloya

If you have time for an excursion, we recommend Mismaloya in the South Zone. This small fishing village captures the essence of what Puerto Vallarta was before the hotels and resorts moved in. Plus, it was where the classic film “The Night of the Iguana” was made, which pretty much put Puerto Vallarta on the map.

A nice blend of tranquility, history, and untarnished beaches, Mismaloya is a perfect skip away from the city for those looking to get away from it all.

8. Take a Hike

If your idea of getting out of town doesn’t involve going to a different town, then go for a relaxing hike through the South Zone. There are miles and miles of quiet beaches here, and the paths are safe and relatively easy (as long as you don’t take a short cut through the mountains).

Hiking along the coast is a wonderful way to experience the sea at your own pace, and it doesn’t take much planning. The main road is never far, so you can hop a bus back to the city whenever you’re ready. Just make sure to bring enough water and sunscreen.

You can start your hike from the end of the Malecon and head down to Conchas Chinas (it only takes about 40 minutes). From there, more adventurous hikers can continue south all the way to Boca de Tomatlan.

9. Share the love in the Zona Romantica

For food, drinks, and plentiful attractions, the Romantic Zone is the place to be. Weekends are full of life here, so be sure to make reservations for restaurants and bars. But there’s something going on every night of the week in Plaza Lazaro Cardenas. From traditional dancing to live music to local artisanal markets, you and a special someone are sure to see sparks fly in this part of the old town.

10. See the Sunset over Banderas Bay

Puerto Vallarta’s jovial streets are home to many shows and attractions, but the best one takes place on the horizon over Banderas Bay. Cozy up with a special someone on the beach and enjoy a fiery sunset before heading out for a night to remember.

Here in Puerto Vallarta, watching the sunset is our equivalent of stopping to smell the roses. Don’t forget to take in the peaceful vibes of our city and do the same!

11. Hit the Clubs

All of the locals we spoke to agreed on one thing—you CANNOT leave Puerto Vallarta without at least one night of wild fun at a PV club.

Puerto Vallarta clubs are a point of pride in the city. They are known for their excellent service, signature drinks, and world-class DJs. When partygoers talk about the best clubs in the world, PV’s clubs rank in the top spots with Las Vegas and Ibiza clubs. The difference is that they cost a lot less to enjoy!

Here’s where locals recommend for the best PV clubbing:

  • La Santa: La Santa is best known for having an on-site pool. Are you ready for your night to get wet and wild?
  • La Vaquita: A barnyard-themed bash, La Vaquita has a very relaxed dress code and serves massive drinks in styrofoam cups. A place to let loose!
  • Strana: A cathedral of light and sound, Strana is one of the most exclusive and immersive clubs in the city.

Nightclubs in Puerto Vallarta are very popular, so you need to book in advance to avoid long lines which often extend out the door and into the street. Or, you can let the locals at PV Nightlife take care of it for you and enjoy VIP access all night long.

Bonus: Puerto Vallarta Accommodation Hacks

The quality of your vacation in Puerto Vallarta will depend greatly on where you choose to stay. This city is full of resorts and hotels, but locals don’t recommend these places.

Resorts are ok for families, large groups, and the elderly, but those who want to explore and make the most of their trip won’t like the fake atmosphere and overcrowding.

Hotels are a luxurious way to travel, and Puerto Vallarta has some excellent ones to choose from. The downside is that you’ll pay international prices to book somewhere like the Hilton or the Hyatt.

If you’re traveling with your family or a group, we highly recommend booking a private villa instead of traditional accommodation. You can actually book a beachside villa with luxury décor and amazing amenities for less than the price of most hotels.

Even better, your villa can be customized in any way you like. You can ask for a private chef, a driver, for a mariachi band to come at night—the possibilities are really up to you.

When you work with an agency like PV Nightlife, there’s no limit to what you can do and where you can stay. Get in touch now to view beachfront villas and to turn your accommodation into a private paradise.

12. Scuba Diving

If you’ve never been Scuba diving before, Puerto Vallarta is the place to have your underwater adventure. If you have, you’ve never seen ocean floors like ours!

Enter a wonderland of crystal-clear waters and interact with playful fish and other sea life. You’ll encounter amazing rock structures, reefs, massive schools of fish, and even ghostly shipwrecks.

The Scuba tours in PV are led by licensed professionals, so all you have to do is suit up and be amazed!

13. Colonia Emiliano Zapata Municipal Market

The food culture in Mexico is protected by UNESCO—it’s the only culinary tradition to have that honor! So, when deciding what things to do in Puerto Vallarta, visiting a local market is an absolute must.

The Colonia Emiliano Zapata municipal market is full of colorful produce, tropical fruit, seafood, local spices, street food, and so much more. The best thing about this place is that everyone here is super helpful and always smiling. It’s the perfect place to get some cooking tips from real locals while going on a tasting spree.

The market is open every day from 6 AM to 3 PM. We recommend going in the late morning. It’s the perfect time to see all the vendors while they’re still fully stocked and to work up an appetite for lunch.

14. Los Muertos Beach

Los Muertos Beach is one of the hottest spots in the city. It’s great for lounging, swimming, and watersports, and it’s also full of bars and restaurants with music and beach sports. It’s more of a party beach than a relaxing spot, but that isn’t a bad thing!

Los Muertos is located directly off the Malecon, so it’s the most accessible beach in the city. In fact, it’s impossible to miss, as it’s visible from most of the city center. Even if you don’t like crowded beaches, stop at a beach kiosk for a margarita or two. The fun is contagious!

15. Mirador de La Cruz

Mirador de La Cruz is an observation platform just outside the city center. The locals know this spot offers the best views of Banderas Bay and the lush mountains bordering the city, but you won’t find many of us making the climb on a hot day!

The trek to Mirador de La Crus takes about 40 minutes from the Malecon, and the last 20 minutes are made up of steep climbs and stairs. Nevertheless, this is where you’ll be able to snap panoramic photos of the city and the sea that will make all your Insta followers jealous, so bring your walking shoes and don’t miss it!

16. Into the Wild

Just outside Puerto Vallarta’s antique streets, you can venture into the unknown and explore Mexico’s lush jungle terrain. Don’t worry, there aren’t any dangerous animals lurking in the depths, but there are plenty of exotic flowers, fresh fruits, colorful insects, and other amazing things to see.

You can tour the jungle on foot with a guide or you can schedule an ATV tour for an off-road adventure. We don’t recommend exploring the jungle alone.

17. Have a Spa Day

Take a break from all the adventure, sun, sand, and tequila by detoxing your body and rejuvenating your skin at one of Puerto Vallarta’s famed spas. Featuring specialized treatments made from sea minerals and local ingredients, there’s no better way to experience the ultimate in personal pampering while doing something good for your health.

These spas are well-known by locals as being reasonably priced and extremely professional:

18. Marina Vallarta

Marina Vallarta is a place where the wealthy bump elbows with locals and tourists who like to watch as boats pass over the horizon. Known for its iconic lighthouse bar, this area of the city is quiet and breezy, and it’s the perfect place to take a date before dinner in the Romantic Zone.

Locals don’t hang out here often, but we like going for happy hour at the rooftop bars nearby. Many luxurious clubs and hotels, such as the Marriot, offer half-priced drinks in the early evening, making this a great place to live it up on a budget.

19. Dine in Style

Street food is delicious, by you’d be missing out if you didn’t treat yourself to a bit of fine dining in this food capital of Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is known for amazing BBQ and seafood dishes, and the chefs here are some of the most creative in the world.

Diners can enjoy rich salsas made with local fruits and vegetables as well as light tortillas and hearty soups like the local favorite “birria,” a spicy pork stew served with lime.

PV has also been influenced by an influx of international chefs, making this city a unique culinary jewel on the Pacific.

Here are some local favorites for decadent dining:

  • La Leche: Foodies looking for the perfect sharable photo love La Leche. The entire restaurant is white, making the colorful dishes burst with life.
  • La Palapa: Fine dining on the beach. Enjoy fantastic views and incredible seafood.
  • Café des Artistes: Featuring French and Mexican fusion, Café des Artistes may be the most upscale restaurant in the city.

20. Mezcal and Tequila

Two of our most beloved local pastimes—mezcal and tequila! Puerto Vallarta is a place for sipping and snacking, and our favorite liquors make each night go down smooth.

Both tequila and mezcal are produced in the Jalisco region of Mexico (where PV is located), so this is one of the best places to try artisanal liquors from some of the finest distilleries.

For a great selection of straight mezcal and tequila as well as signature cocktails and snacks, we have to recommend Bar Morelos. This place gets pretty busy and has a club on a separate floor, so you’ll need to book a table if you don’t want to get stuck standing.

Are you ready for your trip to PV? There are so many things to do in Puerto Vallarta that the hardest part is choosing! That’s where we come in at PV Nightlife.

Our local guides and experts are dedicated to putting together the perfect evening, weekend, or complete holiday for you. And our packages are never pre-set. We dedicate a planner to your vacation who works with you to deliver the exact holiday you want.

Don’t get stuck waiting in lines or dealing with sold-out signs when you’re looking for things to do in Puerto Vallarta. Contact PV Nightlife today to make your PV vacation perfect.

Hens Party Ideas and Hens Night Ideas

Trustworthy Organizations for Hens Night Packages / Hens Night Services

There seems to be a preconceived notion that male entertainment companies can sometimes be a bit shady. This is both true and false; I’ll provide you with some tips on what to look out for below.

Most Hens night in Brisbane services will be happy to accept a small deposit fee to secure your date, for instance when I am speaking with a client for a package booking we simply require a $500 lock-in deposit fee to secure your booking and ensure no other ladies can book out that date. This gives you time to organise funds with the ladies and pick up cash/payments from everybody that owes you before the event begins, whilst still knowing your date is secured, payment would only be due the week before your event!

What to avoid:

  • Companies that deal in cash.  Dealing with cash typically means that the company is employing shady workers, usually foreigners who are working illegally. Dealing with illegal companies (and yes even some big ones – major competitors to us), can cost you big time – especially if things go wrong and you realize that you had illegally employed someone and your insurance doesn’t cover anything. It also means there is no money trail so a company can easily take your money and then take advantage of the fact that nothing has been documented. Be very careful when dealing with cash based businesses, all of John Parker Events workers are all legally able to work and possess ABN’s – Our business is registered and insured and we only deal with transfers.
  • Companies that don’t require deposits. These companies tend to cancel on you at the last minute if a “Better” event comes around (more profit for them), this leaves ladies in the dark and leaves you as the maid of honour to find someone last minute with the whole fate of the event in your hands (stressful much?!). This could be a disaster.

If organizing a deposit payment with any hens night / party planners always ensure they are providing a copy of their terms and conditions, read them carefully to be sure there aren’t any hidden costs. Particularly read the different refund protocols for the service you have selected, if you have just booked a topless waiter then your refund policy may be different to that of a male stripper or a bachelorette party planning.

I would also look into their reputation, are they known for hosting hens nights primarily? Or are they more of a general party caterer? If it’s the latter I would definitely ask to see photos of the boys they will be providing, if they seem like they are avoiding showcasing their topless waiters it may be because they are outsourcing these for you – and hence charging higher rates. Check out their facebook reviews and the quality of their instagram to make sure their brand aligns with the things you value when it comes to hens nights! John Parker keeps all of our topless waiters in-house, they are all trained cocktail mixologists and we do not out-source anything at all, now that’s quality.

When examining their reviews on facebook, you want to avoid any companies that have reviews discussing poor refund policies or topless waiters that didn’t get the job done. If choosing to proceed with this company, take down the names of the waiters who didn’t do a good job in the review section and ensure you don’t get them! John Parker Events has some of the best topless waiters Australia wide and can easily be incorporated into any of our bachelor party packages. Be careful not to get tricked by “fake” reviews – the biggest male entertainment provider in Australia has thousands of fake reviews to inflate their score, but realistically they actually have hundreds of real “one star” reviews (they really aren’t that great after all). John Parker doesn’t hide their poor reviews, we only have two 1 star reviews in over 5 years of operating, with hundreds of real, verified reviews.

A Gorgeous Themed Cocktail Party in Puerto Vallarta Nightlife

Who’s going to be making the decisions? One voice is easier than many.

Too many cooks will spoil the broth. This is very true for Hens night Sydney, I would argue the number one problem hens nights have is too many bridesmaids all contributing to the hens.

Now don’t get me wrong here, asking for advice from the bridesmaids is always a good idea, but it should be made clear that one person (you) are organising the hens night itself (or at least having the final say on what to actually do).

Everybody is different, your hens may be the perfect bunch of ladies who all get along famously and who are all big party girls who love going out! In which case congratulations, your hens night will pretty much run itself! But the majority of the time there is a big split within the bachelor party in terms of age/nature/family (especially as the numbers creep higher).

When I’m communicating with a maid of honour or the chosen bridesmaid and I am discussing hens night in Sydney package options, it always becomes a huge headache when the information has to get passed around to 5 different people to grant approval. Often this back and forward motion takes up valuable time and effort for both the maid of honour the bridesmaids AND the business involved.

What I would suggest is this, nominate a specific person to handle all decision making processes, but have people to assist you with decisions. That way when push comes to shove and people are being indecisive about what they want (always happens), you get the final say – because let’s be honest, who would know what the hen wants more than you?! You can’t always please everybody!

Budget

Another big hens night issue is budgeting for the night, it’s a sensitive topic and while you or your hens closest friends might be prepared to pull out $400 for this night – others may be less inclined to spend more than $50. Overall you should always be splitting the costs up evenly across the ladies, unless you have some other quid pro quo arrangement!
When considering the budget I would always take into consideration the costs associated with the wedding itself, how much will the ladies be paying towards organizing dresses – transport – makeup and all the other costs associated with the wedding itself? If these costs are already high i.e. international or interstate travel, hotel bookings etc. then consider that when booking your $400 day spa massage treatment.

Ideal spend for ladies on the services themselves would be between $100-150pp, normally this can cover all your alcohol, food costs, male entertainment costs and sometimes even accommodation costs. Hens Nights are typically fairly pricey when all costs are added up. However, We have some fantastic bachelor party packages Puerto Vallarta and Mexico that cover all these things at affordable prices which makes hens organisation fun and easy. Prices listed here!

Easy Cocktail Party Ideas and Themes

So you’ve been given the daunting title of “maid o [...]

So you’ve been given the daunting title of “maid of honour” – in my eyes this title is more along the lines of “maid of organizing everything including being solely responsible for the success or failure of my best friends hens night!” but who cares about titles! It is your duty to ensure this night is one your guests and more importantly, your hen, will always remember (or forget completely).

This isn’t going to be like other articles that put out basic things, like “save the date” as a key pointer on a hens night (duh?), I'll be leaving out the common sense stuff and going straight for the nitty gritty of the best hens night ideas

Starting with Hens night in Melbourne and now located all across Australia this guide will draw from my experience in the hens night industry, however I will make it very broad and include hens night ideas for people from all around the world. Happy Reading!

Preliminary Easy Stuff;

A mobile bar in Sydney

Those things should be easy to do, once you have a rough idea of what country you want to have your hens night in and generally what you will be doing – you can continue down the guide!

What Do You Want Out Of Your Hens? Hens Night Ideas!

This may well be the hardest section of the entire bachelorette party planning process – what is it that you actually want to do? Now this isn’t an scary option because there isn’t enough to go off, it’s actually the simple Netflix problem – there is too much to choose from.

  • Will your attending guests be of a conservative nature – i.e will they be for or against having topless men / topless waiters walking around handing them drinks? What about a male strip show?

  • Are your guests big drinkers? Would they be satisfied with only a couple of cocktails, or do you want to go all out with an unlimited cocktail bar? (I know I would!)

  • How much do your guests make in a year? Would they be happy to put in $80 each for an awesome hens night? What about $100, $150?

  • Are your guests the adventurous type? Would they want to do a fun activity – or keep it a bit more classy, such as a cocktail package?

  • How many people will be attending? This one is crucial, is it 8-9 people? 20? 40?

These are some great screening questions to ask your hen also, you probably won’t know everyone who the hen has invited personally so it’s important to gather this information before making any decisions.

Everybody is different, your hens may be the perfect bunch of ladies who all get along famously and who are all big party girls who love going out! In which case congratulations, your hens night will pretty much run itself! But the majority of the time there is a big split within hens nights in terms of age/nature/family (especially as the numbers creep higher).

Trust me, the oldies are going to thank you that they can get an early night anyway. High Teas are also a quality option, as well as day spas/manicures/massages and day cruises! Contacting the people you are unsure about and brainstorming a few Hens night Melbourne ideas is also an option!

If this divide of night/day is too big of an issue, you can also do the following – organize a topless waiter cocktail package to the venue/location of your choice, have it kick off at around 6pm and run for four hours of unlimited cocktails/drinks. You’ll have yourself a fantastic four hours of topless waiter entertainment, laughs and cocktails – the event can wrap up after four hours at around 10pm, which gives the oldies plenty of time to go home to an early night whilst still feeling like they are part of the hens night itself and gives you the time to head out into the town! You can check out our unlimited cocktail packages here.

I would also proceed with caution in regards to the word “unlimited” when discussing cocktail packages with your spoken provider. Many providers will state the word unlimited but in fact they will provide you with maybe 40 cocktails max, always investigate whether or not you can truly help yourself to unlimited cocktails for the full duration of your event and keep an eye out for any soft-caps that may be put on your event. At PVNight Events – our  bachelorette party packages Puerto Vallarta Clubs always provide you with Unlimited drinks for the entire duration of the package.

Ideas For A Legendary Hens Night

One of the most difficult things when organizing a [...]

Games in general are a great addition to spice up bachelor party packages, however they are not really essential to make your night a good one. If you see the ladies having a good time just chatting on their own and the party has good vibes then there is no real need to stop everything in order to play a game, however if it is a little dull then that’s a great time to get everyone into a game and a few shots in their bellies! I wouldn’t go too overboard on the games, 1-2 games across a 3-4 hour period is more than enough! Many hens I’ve been to don’t even play any hens night games, each to their own. All of John Parker’s Hens night packages Adelaide contain 2 free hens night games to spice up your event, so you don’t have to worry about a thing!

The Four Cocktails Every Lady Needs At Their Hens Night

Topless Waiters are the must have of any Hens nigh [...]

When booking topless waiters all that is required is a time, location and general idea of what kind of event you are organizing. They can pretty much cater to any event style, formal high tea with a cheeky twist, or a straight up raunchy Bachelorette party packages. When booking Topless Waiters, ensure the website you are booking through is up to date and looks fresh and appealing – the standard in which a business keeps their content/website is normally a good indicator of the standard of Topless Waiter they will be supplying you, I get resumes from gentlemen every day wishing to become Topless Waiters and only a rare one or two will ever pass our standards and our interviews (or even get replies), however I will then check our competitors and see the same gentlemen’s photo who had a terrible personality sitting in their list of waiters. Be careful!

Accommodation is always a tricky one in Puerto Vallarta nightlife , it’s impossible to organize accommodation for everyone invited out to the night – unless it is circumstantial and you are all at a interstate/international location – but the typical hens night usually goes down as follows; The bridesmaids stick together with maybe the absence of a few and then everybody else is on their own. It is perfectly normal to organize accommodation for you and the hens a select few others and expect everybody to organize their own way, especially when you are heading out to a night on the town.

When examining their reviews on facebook, you want to avoid any companies that have reviews discussing poor refund policies or topless waiters that didn’t get the job done. If choosing to proceed with this company, take down the names of the waiters who didn’t do a good job in the review section and ensure you don’t get them! John Parker Events has some of the best topless waiters Australia wide and can easily be incorporated into any of our  bachelor party packages Puerto Vallarta Nightlife.
